At a fashion show, of course.
Spotted: Kelly Rutherford and her lookalike son Hermés Gustaf Daniel Giersch stepped out together during Haute Couture fashion week. The 18-year-old, who is the spitting image of the Gossip Girl alumna, accompanied Rutherford at several shows this week, marking their first joint appearance in a decade. Rutherford went through a long custody battle with ex-husband Daniel Giersch, Rutherford, during which she opted to live out of the spotlight at her home in Monaco.
Rutherford and Hermés made their rounds at several shows during couture week. On Sunday, the mother-son duo attended the Patou Menswear Fall-Winter 2025/2026 show, Hermés wore a taupe-colored suede coat and olive slacks while the actress wore a black coat dress.
Then, they were seen at the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 show on Monday in coordinating black looks. Rutherford paired her long-sleeve black belted maxidress with platform heels, and Hermés matched in a velvet sports coat and black trousers. That same day, they sat front row at the Rahul Mishra Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 show. Hermés appeared to wear the same suit while Rutherford changed into a floral skirt suit.
In a previous interview with People, the actress, who played Lily van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, opened up about the legal battle against her her ex for which she paid nearly $2 million in legal fees for custody of Hermés and daughter Helena after a judge ordered them to live in Monaco with Giersch. She eventually declared bankruptcy and moved to Monaco to live with her kids, though, she revealed she doesn’t hold any grudges against her ex-husband.
"I focus on the good most of the time, I really do," she said in the 2024 interview. "I'm very thankful of where we are. I have a great relationship with my kids."
"I think you've got to keep love in your heart," she continued. "I mean, a lot of people haven't gone through what I've gone through, but they still have challenging relationships with their kids. But at the same time, you heal, you grow. You look at the lessons that came from it. You look at how your kids have grown up, and how they're doing so well, and you're thankful for that."
