She stepped out with her parents and longtime BFF Ashley Avignone in New York City.
Just days after Travis Kelce cryptically hinted that new Taylor Swift music was on the way, the “End Game” star perfected the art of the sartorial Easter egg as she debuted a Reputation-coded look in New York City. Swifties have been eagerly awaiting a Taylor’s Version re-recording of Reputation, and the “Don’t Blame me” singer was happy to add fuel to the fire as she stepped out in an unexpectedly edgy black chain peacoat with a matching mini skirt on Friday night. Ahead of Swift’s confirmed appearance at Kelce’s January 18 Kansas City Chiefs game, the star put a punk twist on her signature All-American style for dinner with her parents and longtime friend Ashley Avignone.
Swift made her Downtown Nobu dinner a family affair on January 17, catching up with parents Andrea and Scott Swift as well as the stylist before her expected trip to Kansas City. While her last date night appearance with Kelce looked like it was inspired by her studio album Midnights–thanks to a dreamy crystal-encrusted black Simkai coat paired with a multi-watt Stella McCartney Falabella crystal-fringed tote–Swift appeared to be firmly in her Reputation era as she showed off a black AREA peacoat with wide lapels and chain detailing in front paired with a mini skirt with the same hardware.
From her black manicure to the patterned tights, Swift leaned into an edgier aesthetic with her accessories. She paired over-the-knee slouchy black Chloé boots with a black Jimmy Choo handbag with a chain strap, gold Chanel logo earrings, and her signature red lip. A sharp black liquid cat eye, a voluminous blowout, and a slightly side-parted heavy fringe finished her look.
Kelce previously confirmed that Swift will be making an appearance as the Kansas City Chiefs compete against the Texans on Sunday. "Oh yeah. You know it, baby," Kelce responded when host Pat McAfee subtly hinted at Taylor's attendance. "It's playoff football, man."
The athlete also shared that Swift was busy working on new music, coyly sharing that "there might be a few" new songs on the way when McAfee pressed him.
However, while he’s previously named “So High School” and “The Alchemy”–songs that are believed to be about his relationship with Swift–as some of his favorites, Kelce explained he was supportive of whatever she decided to write about next.
"I'll never chime in, but you already know I'm here to support it,” he told the host. “I'm here to see where it can go, you know what I mean."
