It was a banner year for couple style—of the celebrity variety, specifically. From red carpets to the sidewalks, the stars put their best feet forward. Literally. Justin and Hailey Bieber made church shoes cool, while Rihanna and A$AP Rocky rocked their respective Pumas.
This year we saw plenty of variation on duo dressing, from the laidback to the over-the-top. Emma Corrin and Rami Malek leaned into neutral tones, while Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz embraced maximalism in eccentric knits at Loewe. Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper also enjoyed sweater weather in her Guest In Residence collection.
Here, we revisit some of the most stylish couples from 2024. Well, the ones who are still together, at least. Remember: not all relationships are meant to last but celebrity style is forever.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky
Let’s just get the obvious out of the way. These two are the reigning champs of couple style. They are the very definition of matching each others’ freak. Whether they’re dressed up or down, we can always count on Rihanna and A$AP Rocky to turn out a look.
Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge
While these two tend to keep it pretty private, we love what we’ve seen so far. The duo made an appearance at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of Partridge’s show Disclaimer, where Rodrigo wore a ’90s-esque black Rodarte dress with floral velvet burnout and a rosette, and he looked the part of a movie star in a laidback suit, sans tie. They would have gone platinum on Tumblr.
Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade
This dynamic duo works hard to keep their love private—nothing more evidenced than their over-the-top attempt to go incognito. The headphones-over-hat (and, in Olivia Jade’s case, headphones-over-headscarf-over-hat). The three oversized Bottega Veneta bags. Nobody has ever done a worse job at flying under the radar, but by God do they look great trying.
Emma Corrin and Rami Malek
While Corrin is known for their daring red carpet looks, their off-duty style is perfectly in step with their partner, Malek. Picture lots of neutrals and natural fabrics, with some funky twists here and there. Whether they’re strolling along Ipanema Beach or attending a premiere, nobody can deny that these two look great together.
Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz
Perhaps one of our favorite looks of the entire year, Craig and Weisz donned high-fashion knits for the Loewe show. While they tend to keep things a bit more pared back, we were utterly obsessed with their foray into the avant garde. More, please!
Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber
This year, Justin and Hailey Bieber gradated to Mom and Dad status. We caught a glimpse of Hailey’s maternity style in ruched bubble dresses and oversized sweaters, while Justin experimented with statement-making headwear and oversized denim. While the Biebers haven’t historically matched each others’ vibe, you can’t deny that they’re always committed to their looks.
Zendaya and Tom Holland
This longtime duo made their stance on matching very clear this year. Whether they were doing an errands run in white tanks or promoting Tom Holland’s non-alcoholic beer in coordinating shades of burgundy, they weren’t afraid to put their coupledom on display.
Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper
Another couple who clarified their feelings on matching, Cooper and Hadid didn’t necessarily do the whole matchy-matchy thing, but boy did they coordinate. On a few occasions this year, the Oscar nominee was spotted wearing Hadid’s knitwear brand, Guest In Residence.
Dove Cameron and Damiano David
Cameron and David serve as a reminder that there’s no need to tone down your style for anyone. The American actor and Italian singer hit the Met steps for the first time decked out in Diesel by Glenn Martens. Since then, they’ve continued to show off their bold, sexy style during fashion week.
