From scarf tops to chocolate brown to everyday preciousness, there were many trends and even more microtrends that defined the shopping landscape of 2024. But what stood out for us? For some it was the year of the It sneaker, for others the thrill of discovery fueled their purchases. Some ticked items off their wish list (a hard-to-get-into sample sale might have helped), others were pleasantly surprised by what their eye was drawn to.
As Vogue editors, we discover, shop, and gift the best-of-the-best on the market all year-round. But, when it comes to our personal favorites, some items easily take the spotlight. These are the products that made it to the top of our shopping lists.

I put this Porta carafe on a gift list in May and kept thinking about it until I decided it was worth buying for my bedside table and I’ve been thirst quenched every night since! Everyday Upgrades
2024 was the year I really started to flirt with Beauty, I don’t know if it’s my age, or, the fact that I spent more time investing in myself but my Light Salon LED Mask was quite honestly the best thing I bought. And, it has the best price per wear (or should I say use, no one needs to see me wearing this!) between that, which I use every night, and my NuFace, which I use every morning, I finally found my skincare groove. Oh, and this Róhe coat which I’ve managed to wear a lot this winter without spilling coffee on me. Bonus points! —Libby Jane Page, executive commerce director

The High-End Finds
Like many other lucky New Yorkers, I attended The Row sample sale this year. I was thrilled when I found the brand’s signature Igor trousers in a luxurious midnight colored wool crepe, as I’ve had them on my wish list for many seasons. I also left with a pair of black straight leg pants that are a bit low slung. Ever since I picked them up from the tailor, I’ve been wearing them non stop and have me questioning, what was I even wearing before? One of my other favorite purchases this year was scoring these Old Celine pumps. The perfect black fashion shoe. I got them for eighty bucks and it was money well spent! — Madeline Fass, senior shopping market editor

I had trouble wrapping my head around buying a pair of sneakers for this price but someone (a pusher!) convinced me to take the plunge by saying that I should just think of it as a shoe I love. I now wear these nearly everyday and would wear them everyday if I wasn’t worried about wearing them out! They are instantly comfortable, go with everything, and bridge the gap between a flat and a sneaker. Twisted Minimalism
It's been the year of Róhe for me! I discovered the Amsterdam-based brand earlier in this summer and was instantly enamored by their minimalist with a twist designs. This silky scarf top from their fall collection was high on my wish list—the artfully draped look defined the season as a whole but this also felt like a forever piece to me. I’d been eyeing Khaite’s smaller pouches for a while but ended up getting the crossbody version as it signaled a better price per wear—true to form, it's become my go-to for the weekend and traveling. —Talia Abbas, senior shopping editor

These days, when I decide to purchase something, it has to be something I’ve been dreaming about for a while. I'm talking at least three to five months of pure pining. I’ve worn my other four pairs of Margiela Tabi flats into the ground—so when a new colorway emerged, they were added to my cart immediately and purchased. I also bought my first pair of Loewe sunglasses, and I can easily see why people are so obsessed. —Cortne Bonilla, senior shopping writer

There’s nothing better than having a signature scent in my opinion. This year, I’ve dedicated time to figure that out for myself, and even wrote about my most complimented perfumes to date. A top contender is this Dries perfume, which I've been obsessing over for a while. Then, to the office, I’ve been wearing this easy sweater from J.Crew. The Wardrobe Essentials
This year, I added the Gucci horsebit suede ankle boots to my shoe collection and I can already tell I’ll be grabbing for them for years to come. I was hesitant to buy another pair of black boots but a wise woman once said, there’s no such thing as having too many pairs of black boots. I feel like everyone is always on the look out for the perfect white T-shirt and this year Still Here came out with an amazing boxy tee. It’s on the thicker side so it’s slightly more structured than some T-shirts I’ve picked up in the past, and it’s great for layering or on its own. —Taylor Lashley, social media manager

My favorite thing I bought this year was this Eckhaus Latta long sleeve tee. It’s the perfect shade of red (though I love it so much I also bought it in black) and the ribbed texture and semi-sheer finish really manage to make everything you pair it with instantly cooler. I wore it with everything, but I especially loved it as part of a full Eckhaus ’fit that included these brown lace pants—with a built in half-skirt thing—from their spring collection that I saved up all year so I could buy them for my birthday in August. And guess what? They too, look good with everything. —Laia Garcia-Furtado, senior fashion news editor, Vogue Runway

Now that my wedding is officially on the calendar, I’ve been searching for the perfect wedding weekend scent—this perfume from Byredo, aptly named, spoke to me. It strikes the ideal balance between vanilla and floral notes. For beauty prep, my CurrentBody mask is a skin-care lifesaver! There’s few fashion items on this planet I love more than a 16Arlington mini dress, and I’m on a streak of adding one to my wardrobe for two years in a row. I have way too many handbags, but my favorite one of 2024 has to be the Tory Burch Marshmallow bag in the mini size. First of all, the way it fits so much from my iPhone to my wallet to multiple lip products, my Jones Road blush palette, and my portable charger. And the crinkle leather fabric means that even when I take it out at night and inevitably spill a drink or two, it can just be wiped off with a paper towel or wet wipe. And my second favorite purchase of the year has to be my Gap x Dôen collaboration jeans that came out last spring. Honestly, this is what got Gap on my radar long before the viral Troye Sivan campaign, and while the wide-leg pair I have is now sold out in most sizes, Gap does offer similar alternatives. Just make sure you are searching for a denim trouser on the Gap website to get the same lightweight look and feel as the Dôen one. —Irene Kim, Production & Editorial Associate

My favorite and most worn item of 2024 would have to be my Anine Bing western boots. These are the perfect shoes for New York City or anyone on the go—stylish and comfortable (I can literally walk miles in them). I love tucking baggy jeans into these for a cool slouchy, yet put-together look. My other favorite purchase of 2024 would have to be the hot thermal round brush from Mane. This year, I decided (a.k.a. was influenced by Hailey Bieber) to cut my hair into a short bob, and this tool has been my styling saving grace. I use this every single day to flip my ends out, under, and everything in between. —Molly Barstein, associate manager, audience development
