The bohofication of Amal Clooney continues!
The human rights lawyer and her husband, George Clooney, soaked up the sun in Saint-Tropez earlier this week, where she continued her bohemian streak. (The French Riviera will do that to a person, I’m told.) While George opted for his de rigueur black polo, blue trousers, and slip-on shoes, Amal leaned into the free-spiritedness of the seaside town.
Clooney met the moment in a mixture of old and new boho. Her look—a high-neck off-white lace top and denim cutoff shorts—more resembled the last iteration of boho. Think along the lines of mid-2010s Coachella, Free People catalogs, and early 2000s Sienna Miller. But Clooney brought new boho into the mix as well. While she wasn’t traipsing around town in a flowing clay-colored Chemena Kamali number, she did incorporate new Chloé into her look by carrying a tan bracelet hobo bag with gold hardware. She also turned to Stella McCartney for her footwear, donning a pair of nautical woven heeled mules from the British designer’s spring 2024 collection. Clooney spared no accessory, adorning her look with gold dangling earrings, gold-and-white bangles, and a pair of oversized square sunglasses.
The barrister has been all in on the boho chic look since arriving in Saint-Tropez. Last month, she opted for a louder interpretation in a colorful multi-patterned paisley cutout dress from McCartney’s 2015 resort collection, which she accessorized with a Chloé bracelet bag in black. When approaching the boho revival, we’re quite fond of Amal Clooney’s method of blending old and new.
