Addison Rae knows how to have fun with her fits, manifesting pop diva-ness with her wardrobe and going deep into character play and archival fashion to bolster bolder and bolder looks. Take a minute to recall her white swan moment at the 2024 MTV VMAs—the “Diet Pepsi” singer had a statement to make, and she did just that in custom Miss Claire Sullivan. With an ongoing partnership with stylist Dara Allen, there’s everything to play for on the red carpet this holiday season.
Stepping out for the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball on Friday night, Rae wore a snow-white Chloé bodysuit from Chemena Kamali’s spring 2025 collection, with quarter sleeves and a soft sweetheart neckline, finished with an ornate floral lace trim that fell over her hips. She accessorized with a gold seashell bag—a nod to her dreamy pop hit “Aquamarine”—and earrings to match, with nude peep-toe shoes. Her hair was worn in a deep side part. Posing on the red carpet, one foot in front of the other like a dancer, Rae looked like she’d just stepped off the ice rink, or as if she was readying herself for a sugar plum fairy solo before the curtain drop. ’Tis Nutcracker season, after all.
The whimsical look is a continuation of Rae and Allen’s playful style experimentation for an evolving pop protégé. In October, Rae wore a mermaid-inspired Thom Browne look for the CFDAs: a cinched gray corset and a paillette-covered skirt from Thom Browne’s spring/summer 2018 runway. In lieu of a purse, she clutched a seashell. Rae continues to play with vintage pulls too, and has shown a particular love for Stella McCartney-era Chloé.
The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball event saw the likes of Paris Hilton, Meghan Trainor, Madison Beer, T-Pain, and NCT Dream perform. Rae herself didn’t take to the stage—her last performance was a guest spot on Charli xcx’s Sweat tour in LA.
While we may be just about over balletcore, figure-skating fashion seems like a natural reference for winter. Happy skating.
