A ‘nonsense Christmas’ requires a no-nonsense, full-throttle festive ’fit, and Sabrina Carpenter brought it in New York last night (December 5) when she appeared for a special screening of her new Netflix special.
A Nonsense Christmas will premier on the streaming platform today (December 6), featuring friends and peers including Chappell Roan, Shania Twain and Cara Delevingne. It’s the cherry on top of a sweet year for Sab: last month, she picked up six Grammy nominations for the 2025 ceremony, including Best New Artist, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. She also dominated Spotify Wrapped’s Most Streamed Songs Globally in 2024 (Vogue staffers can corroborate) and Apple Music’s chart with pop juggarnaut “Espresso”, and was TikTok’s number one artist. While she’s put a bow on the Short n’ Sweet tour in the U.S for 2024, it picks right back up again in Europe next Spring.
Carpenter stepped out into a cold New York night to meet with fans and introduce the show. She wore a Chanel by way of Karl Lagerfeld black and white faux fur and cashmere mini dress from 1994. To fend off the night air’s chill, a Chanel 1994 cropped faux fur jacket to match. On her fingers, a Maison Raksha diamond initial ring studded S.C, obviously, and fuzzy white stilettos. A flush of pink on her cheeks as per, and a merry red lip to finish the look.
This was also Carpenter’s first public appearance since rumors began that she and boyfriend, actor Barry Keoghan, have split. Neither Carpenter nor Keoghan have shared any updates on their relationship status. This night was all about Sab.
The “Taste” singer’s holiday style is hard to match. Over on Instagram, she donned a snowflake-patterned blue knit with a tartan skirt to pose beside her Christmas tree. On her more practical days, you’ll find her in a slouchy Babaton coat, sumptuous knits, and an UGG boot. The tour looks of recent have been consistently sparkly and showgirly, thanks to some custom Ludovic De Saint Sernin and Victoria’s Secret.
Aside from fuzzy fitspo, A Nonsense Christmas is up for all your festive viewings on Netflix now.
