Hailey Bieber has largely stayed out of the spotlight since giving birth to baby Jack in August – but it appears it’s now “business as usual” for the beauty mogul. To mark her return to the office, she opted for a vintage brown skirt suit from Gianni Versace’s fall 1996 collection, sourced from The RealList, which perfectly matched her chocolate Rhode phone case, of course.
The new mum has been gravitating towards retro tailoring lately, wearing Saint Laurent’s oversized ’80s-inspired suit (complete with shirt and tie) for a Rhode launch at the end of October. Her latest outing, though, is less corporate drag, and more in keeping with Bieber’s personal style: the star paired her officewear with matching ballet flats, her favorite “B” pendant necklace, and her trademark cat-eye sunglasses.
Bieber’s not the only one who’s gone for trophy suiting when in full business mode: best friend Kendall Jenner has often been spotted in vintage tailoring in the past, including John Galliano’s two-in-one dress from the ’90s–brought up-to-date via accessories from The Row.
It makes sense that Bieber would want to adopt a workwear uniform post maternity leave, swapping her trademark baggy jeans and T-shirts for a more polished look–her CEO armor, if you will. And what better way to do it than with prized vintage?
