Bringing the heat to the holidays.
Emily Blunt is bringing the heat to the holidays with her latest red carpet look. On Thursday, the actress attended the 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia wearing a dress that looked like an elegantly-wrapped Christmas gift with a naughty twist.
For the occasion, Blunt walked the red carpet solo in a sequined long-sleeved gown that featured a sexy thigh-high slit, revealing a glimpse at her black sheer tights and matching strappy sandals underneath. In addition to its champagne sparkles, the dress further leaned into the holiday vibes with a bow-embroidered black velvet sash that was stitched onto one side and flowed onto the floor.
Blunt accessorized with a smattering of diamond rings and a coordinating ear cuff that was visible beneath her textured updo with face-framing pieces. Meanwhile, she finished off her glam with a coral lip that complemented her dewy skin and rose-tinged cheeks.
During the film festival, Blunt teased that there may be a Devil Wears Prada sequel in the works without confirming any details. “There (are) rumblings,” Blunt said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “There is stuff churning around. But I don’t know if I can confirm anything. But we would all be delighted.”
Back in July, it was reported that a Devil Wears Prada sequel was, indeed, in development with Disney and that Blunt would be reprising her role as Emily, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Strep)’s magazine assistant.
At the time, Variety noted, “The storyline reportedly follows Priestly as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and faces off against Blunt’s character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs."
