Jennifer Lawrence’s maternity style is quickly becoming the blueprint for pregnancy elegance.
In her latest look, which she wore to The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women In Entertainment Gala hosted at The Beverly Hills Hotel in California, the actor looked effortlessly chic (and surprisingly comfy) in a slinky LBD from Dior by Maria Grazia Chiuri—because Lawrence just proved that the LBD is the perfect fashion staple for pregnant party wear. The sophisticated wrap dress featured long, fluttery sleeves and a wide V-neck that plunged to the center of her chest. She wore the dress with a thin black belt, also Dior, that rested just under her bust. The dress then hugged her baby bump before falling to the floor in an elegant maxi skirt.
It also appears that Lawrence switched up her hair yet again for the occasion. After debuting new Brigitte Bardot-style bangs in October, the star showed off a lighter cashmere blonde shade in a textured half-up, half-down look. She complemented the black dress with black pointed-toe heels and a pair of bold black chunky hoops.
Lawrence confirmed her pregnancy to Vogue in October after debuting her baby bump while out at dinner the night before. She and her husband, Cooke Maroney, are already parents to 2-year-old son, Cy.
So far, Lawrence’s maternity looks have been just as sleek and chic as we have all come to expect from her signature style. Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, she debuted her timeless wispy bangs. As for her wardrobe, she has rocked a black and white Dior shift dress, an ethereal black vintage gown by Christian Lacroix, and a modern form-fitted Bottega Veneta dress in a deep chocolate hue.
Lawrence is in the midst of promoting Bread & Roses, a documentary she produced after being inspired by seeing how Afghan women have fought back against the Taliban regime since 2021. “I just felt desperate to do something,” she told the BBC. “And cameras help with helplessness.”
She added, "It was important for us to get eyes inside Kabul because that's exactly what the Taliban did not want. So when we reached out to Sahra, as we were already familiar with her work, we found that she was already collecting footage from girls on the ground in Kabul."
This year, Lawrence also produced Zurawski v. State of Texas, a documentary about women who sued the state of Texas over its abortion ban. At last night’s event, Lawrence presented college scholarships to high school students from underserved communities in Los Angeles as part of the WIE Mentorship Program alongside Kerry Washington and Amanda Zurawski, who features in Lawrence’s latest documentary,
