It’s officially reaching freezing temperatures in New York City, but Angelina Jolie is sticking to her summer shoes instead of breaking out the boots.
Last night, Jolie attended the 2024 Gotham Awards in a sleeveless, drapey black dress with an asymmetrical hemline, and wore a pair of strappy platform sandals. Today, while stopping by her Atelier Jolie storefront, the actor doubled down on her commitment to warm-weather footwear.
Jolie opted for a look equal parts cozy and put-together—all in her neutral color palette, of course. She wore a slouchy, oversized gray knit cardigan over a white tank top and a pair of flared black trousers. As for her accessories, she broke out her faithful black oversized cat-eye sunglasses and carried a quilted Dior pouch bag on her wrist.
The real surprise came from Jolie’s shoes, which are far more expected in Los Angeles than in chilly New York. But lo, from beneath her impeccably tailored pantlegs came a pair of towering black platform sandals, which showed off her same dark-toned pedicure from the Gotham Awards. This isn’t the first time she eschewed close-toed shoes in the fall months. At a November screening of her film Maria, Jolie styled her ivory pantsuit with a pair of five-and-a-half-inch wooden heels with linen straps from Aquazzura.
As we approach winter, Angelina Jolie reminds us there’s no such thing as seasons in her closet—though her toes may disagree.
