Anyone who has ever let a short hairstyle grow out knows: The road back to long hair is tedious and difficult. The “growing out” phase has long been tolerated—mostly through a slicked-back bun. But now, celebrities are purposefully getting an in-between cut because of its versatility. Meet the “clavi-cut”: named such because the ends of the hair hit right at the collar bone. Hair is long enough to easily throw up into a French twist but short enough to style with hot tools with bob-like precision.
What is the Clavi-cut?
The unusual name for the hairstyle comes from the word "clavicle" (aka collarbone). However, the clavi-cut is much more than just a grown-out bob: the front sections are cut slightly shorter than the back sections, which further emphasizes the collarbone.
