Like, totally losing it.
I have to admit something: I rarely shop online. Maybe it’s the generation I grew up in, or maybe it’s because there’s nothing that makes me feel more nostalgic than walking into a mall (yes, a mall!), smelling Auntie Anne’s pretzel baking, and perusing the store windows until I spot something I like and then proceed to try on and buy. But, whatever the reason, I’m an old soul when it comes to shopping, as in I love the in-store experience.
That said, there are some moments I shop online because the deals are just too good. And this is exactly the case with Amazon Prime Day 2024, which is happening right now; in fact, some of the deals are so good, even I can’t say no to them—and I am very good at saying no when I shop. But, here’s my approach when shopping major sales like Prime Day; I think of all the things I actually need, or any that have landed on my wishlist over the past few weeks and search for those to see if they are, in fact, marked down. For the most part, they usually are—just my luck! And if they’re not, I’ll patiently wait for the price to drop.

I think it’s because I’ve hit 30, but nothing brings me more joy than investing in my home. Before, I used to get excited about new shoes (and don’t get me wrong, I still do!), but now, I get equally as pumped when I see discounts on an expensive-looking shower curtain as I do on a pair of majorly marked down pumps. Hey, life’s all about balance right? Right.
