Daisy Edgar-Jones is showing off her range, trading in the sad Irish girl we met in Normal People for a Southern storm-chaser in Twisters. The actor—who stars in the disaster film alongside Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, and Kiernan Shipka—has shown that her wardrobe has range, too.
Mercifully, Edgar-Jones and her stylist, Dani Michelle, have swerved away from method dressing. (After all, what would she do? Dress like a tornado?) Instead, the duo has favored dynamic shapes, sweeping trains, and bold fashion statements for the press tour.
On her latest stop in Los Angeles, the actor leaned into into her leading lady status with a dramatic white Gucci column dress featuring a scarf that draped over its asymmetrical open back. For much of the tour, Edgar-Jones and Michelle have leaned into earthier colors, gauzy fabrics, and metallic hardware details. See: the navy Victoria Beckham dress from fall 2024, with sheer paneling and a silver metallic triangular armhole, which looks like it could belong on a weather instrument.
Not all of her looks reminisce on the weather. Edgar-Jones has also served straight-up fashion flexes—just because she can. At a screening in Miami, she wore a bold coral Schiaparelli minidress affixed with gold areola buttons, which she paired with the house’s telltale keyhole shoes. While leaving her hotel in London, she reminded us all that she is a Gucci girl after all, wearing a billowing sheer black blouse over a lacy bralette with a daisy-patterned midi skirt.
It seems that the wind is literally blowing in Daisy Edgar-Jones’s favor on this press tour. She turned heads at the film’s European premiere in London earlier this week. In a draped chocolate brown Vivienne Westwood dress with a thigh-high slit and a flowing black train, the breeze whipped her dress into a frenzy, sending the train flying behind her. Talk about kismet!
