As a main headliner at this year’s Glastonbury music festival, Dua Lipa was sure to bring a sleek performance wardrobe to the main stage this weekend—including custom Versace, Chrome Hearts, and Loewe looks (all thanks to her new stylist, Jahleel Weaver). Once her hits-filled set was over and done with, however, the pop star spent the rest of the weekend taking in some shows with boyfriend Callum Turner. Yesterday, the couple nailed a new kind of festival style: it was less about flashy flower crowns, and more about a cool, dressed-down fashion vibe.
Compared to her glitzy stage costumes, Lipa embraced a far more casual sensibility for her day off. She paired a classic white tank top with a draped leather skirt marked by oversized cargo pockets. The outfit had a decidedly edgy, utilitarian feel—right down to the slouchy boots Lipa slipped on. Turner, meanwhile, went classic with a vintage racing tee and jeans. The duo struck the right note of looking like stylish festival goes as opposed to caricatures of them.
After all, at Glastonbury, it’s easy to fall into style stereotypes—aka, showing up in Wellington boots like Kate Moss, or double denim like Sienna Miller. But leave it to Dua to deliver a perfectly-current, if not unexpected, take on festival dressing. Though, something tells us her outfit is one that will be recreated in years to come.
