My hyperpigmentation also vanished.
While I was lucky enough to escape my teenage years without any serious acne, I’ve struggled with hyperpigmentation for as long as I can remember—which means even minimal hormonal breakouts around my chin each month caused a lasting effect.
Even now in my late 20s, any pesky pimples still leave behind red and dark spots where they once were. Not to mention the fact that my under eye circles have only gotten darker with age. And while I’ve found a few holy grail products to treat the marks and brighten my bags, I also rely on foundation and concealer to help me cover up any residual hyperpigmentation.
I’ve cycled through my fair share of products already, but when I heard that Tarte was launching a color correcting concealer, I knew I had to get my hands on it. After all, the Brooke Shields-used beauty brand is behind the beloved Shape Tape formula that’s also one of my go-to beauty finds.

Luckily, Tarte gave me the opportunity to sample its new Creaseless Corrector, which comes in five shades for different uses and skin tones. These include green to neutralize redness, peachy pink to brighten darkness, and peach, orange, and red to offset dark circles.
Both the green and peachy pink have quickly become staples in my makeup bag. The green color is the perfect base to apply before my foundation and concealer by neutralizing the red marks left behind from previous breakouts, while the peachy pink shade is my go-to for brightening up dark under-eye circles (because age has blessed me with those, too). It allows me to use so much less product overall, so I can often skip classic concealer, and creates a much more even complexion.
The Creaseless Corrector brightens and even out my skin tone with its key ingredients, including maracuja and cloudberry. The former works to restore your skin barrier and has tons of anti-aging effects while the latter evens out skin tone and brightens dark spots thanks to antioxidants and peptides, which means the product is working to solve the root issues. The formula also has four times the vitamin C of an orange and is packed with omegas 3 and 6, and moisturizing vitamin E too.
Unlike classic concealers, the Creaseless Corrector has a precision brush tip that makes it super easy to focus on my small imperfections without overusing the product. Plus, the lightweight corrector melts into my skin and doesn’t crease or settle into my lines even after hours of wear.
If you’re already sold on my go-to color corrector but need a classic concealer to pair with it, grab the hydrating, full-coverage creaseless concealer, which comes in 32 shades for fair to deep skin.
