Angelina Jolie has her airport style down to a science. The actor has perfected her travel uniform, wearing a black coat with a black or white maxi dress, nude or black pumps (or, the occasional ballet flat for casual days), black sunglasses, and a Celine tote.
But yesterday, Jolie rocked our worlds, abandoning her tried-and-true airport fashion. Departing New York, Jolie wore a lightweight cream-colored trench coat with her signature oversized black sunglasses. She notably swapped her usual carry-on Celine monogram tote for a Saint Laurent Icare raffia bag. But perhaps most shocking of all, Jolie decided to forgo her beloved nude patent leather Louboutin pumps—the Dolly 85—for a pair of slouchy black suede Manolo Blahnik boots.
Between the breezy bag and the relaxed silhouette of the boots, the look was a decidedly more boho direction for the actor. (Perhaps even she may be swayed by the trend’s recent comeback.) That said, don’t expect Jolie to star in the next Chloé campaign or anything. (It’s boho by her standards, not Sienna Miller’s.) And, although she swapped her Louboutin patent leather pumps for slouchy boots, and traded in her timeless monogram bag for the beachy raffia tote, Angelina Jolie stuck to her style codes: neutral and classic.
