Sugar and spice, and everything nice.
Whoever came up with the phrase “sugar and spice, and everything nice” must have been referring to Emma Stone’s latest red carpet look. On Thursday, the actress attended the New York City premiere of her new film Kinds of Kindness, and for the occasion, she chose a gown that was equal parts sexy and sweet.
While her slinky black dress was mostly sheer and showed off large swathes of skin on each side via two low-rise hip cutouts that dipped just below her underwear, it wasn't overtly risky—thanks to its all-over polka-dot pattern. The gown's high neckline and long bell sleeves also helped, too. Stone accessorized simply with just a pair of black strappy sandals and diamond stud earrings, while her signature auburn hair was worn down with a middle part and slicked behind her ears.
The Oscar winner finished off her glam with flushed cheeks, pink lips, and an ultra-dewy complexion.

Yesterday was a busy day for Stone who also taped an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon just a few hours prior to her red carpet arrival. For her talk show appearance, she wore an ox blood patent leather dress by Brandon Maxwell with a strapless neckline and two front pockets for ease. A matching belt with gold-rimmed hardware cinched her waist and she added a pair of oversized hoop earrings and a smattering of rings to complete her look.
