She wore nothing but jeans and a handbag.
Katie Holmes is celebrating a new fashion collaboration, however, she ditched her clothes to do so. The actress announced her new partnership with A.P.C. with a variety of campaign imagery (lensed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch), including a snap of her posing completely topless, save for a quilted black leather handbag, which she held over her shoulder. On the bottom, Holmes wore baggy, floor-skimming dark-wash jeans,
Another photo from the collection captured the director wrapped up in nothing but a very special blue, green, pink, and white quilt. Perhaps the most notable part of the campaign is that the piece in particular—which retails for $795 and is currently sold out—was designed by Holmes's mother Kathleen Stothers-Holmes. On June 1, Holmes shared the picture to her Instagram Story with the caption, "My favorite quilt designed by my mom."
She also spoke with The Washington Post about her mom’s affinity for the craft. “My mom has made me many quilts, all of my siblings and [her] grandkids,” she said. “And there’s a difference when you’re sleeping under your mother’s work.”
Katie Holmes Wore the Shorts-Alternative That's So Underrated for Summer
Other images showed Holmes modeling in a miniskirt and beige blouse, a corduroy shacket, a red cardigan, and more.
The capsule collection, which is titled Interaction with Katie Holmes, was inspired by the star's longtime love of the brand. According to a press release, Holmes has been a fan of A.P.C. since the '90s.
“A.P.C. is a beautiful French brand and one that I have loved since I discovered it," she said in a statement. "The simplicity of design is born out of sophisticated consistency to details and form. A.P.C. is not only elegant in life, but I have also used it many times for costumes in film as its classic design is timeless."
