It's so 'Fifty Shades'-coded.
Dakota Johnson’s lacy black lingerie took center stage as the actress made a Fifty Shades-coded red carpet appearance on Monday night. The Madame Web star turned heads at the Daddio premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, posing in a barely-there midnight blue Gucci dress with intricate see-through lace paneling offset by completely sheer fabric.
The deep cobalt hue of the gown complemented Johnson’s eyes and took the dress into evening wear territory. The dainty Gucci piece featured delicate straps and a layer of silky fabric across the bust that was trimmed with lace along the neckline and midsection. The flowing skirt—made out of see-through blue crepe de chine—had a romantic midi length and a thigh-high slit in the back.
Johnson paired the slinky number from Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection with black patent leather strappy sandal heels and a surprising accessory: A Boho black feather statement necklace, which extended all the way down to her belly button, featured a large green stone in the middle. A peacock green cocktail ring worn on her left hand accentuated the color of her red carpet ‘fit.
The actress, who’s been serving up fashion inspiration while filming The Materialists, stuck with her signature beauty look for her Tribeca Film Festival appearance. She styled her brown hair and front bangs with a slight wave to give her mane some movement, and drew attention to her eyes with sultry peach makeup with a smudged smokey effect, black mascara, plum blush, and a matching lip.
