Angelina Jolie is giving power suiting a whole new meaning.
The actor, along with her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne, hit the opening night of Reefer Madness: The Musical in style to support their friend Kristen Bell, who plays Mary Lane. The duo both opted to play with suiting, although, Jolie’s is a bit more of a wink and a nod to the traditional look.
Jolie wore a white crewneck T-shirt printed with a gray striped trompe l’oeil necktie. But don’t let the humorous tee fool you—the Atelier Jolie founder is extremely serious about fashion. Case in point: her impeccably tailored suit. Over her shirt, she added a double-breasted black blazer with a structured shoulder. On the bottom she wore a pair of sharp, pleated trousers, hemmed to perfection so that they hovered just above the (appropriately colored) green carpet. She topped off the cool, masculine look with a pair of oversized black sunglasses.
The outfit is quite the shake-up from the last time we saw Angelina Jolie out and about. Last weekend she joined daughter Zahara at The Grove in Los Angeles, wearing her go-to black midi dress, Phoebe Philo-era Celine purse, and nude patent leather Christian Louboutins.
Vivienne, for her part, also dabbled in suiting for the Reefer Madness premiere. She wore a grommet-riddled vest over a light blue button-up and black trousers, which she accessorized with a pair of Converse. Like mother, like daughter!
